In terms of location there is simply no more convenient location than Sundial Lodge from which to enjoy Park City's 7300 acres of terrain. When you stay at Sundial you are at the very heart and center of the resort plaza. The property adjoins the main Red Pine gondola, houses the resort ski school, ski rentals, ski shop and wraps around the forum which is the hub of apres ski activity. No "near" or "close" to the lifts as many others others promise, Sundial Lodge IS the very heart and center with NO OTHER PROPERTY MORE CONVENIENT to both skiing/boarding and resort plaza amenities including apres ski activities for adults and children alike, restaurants, shops, free concerts and more. Meanwhile the property has the amenities to deliver the superior experience you are looking for. To start with the unit is larger than most other Sundial one bedrooms with larger bathroom and larger living room. Combine that with the best sofa bed money can buy -- an American Leather Comfort Sleeper, with no springs, no bars, and no sagging (rather a platform) it sleeps just like a real bed, in king size no less -- and the unit can comfortably accommodate two couples if desired. Add the rollaway and accommodate a family of up to 5.
Moreover such is an upgraded unit (and not partial upgrade like most Sundial units, bath for example has ALL natural stone, not just granite countertop, but also travertine floors and shower).
And the unit is ideally located, other side of the building from the forum (thus quiet if you are not interested in such activities), looking across the pool and twinkling lights (winter), at the mountains and slopes.

We have stayed at the Sundial several times over the years and love the location. This condo was fabulous and we had a great time in Park City. I really appreciated the cleanliness, the well-equipped kitchen, and the comfortable decor. I would absolutely stay here again. This condo is even nicer in person than it looks in the pictures. We were so happy with our stay. The location is great, and there are lots of fun things to do right there at Canyons Resort. The condo was fully equipped with everything you could need. Owner has definitely put forth a lot of thought to make sure guests are comfortable. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.
The condo is tastefully decorated and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. The resort keeps skis in the lobby and warms the boots - all you need to do to start skiing is to come downstairs, put warm boots on and walk a few steps to the gondola. Great comfortable furniture, oversized king bed, heated floors and a huge bathroom. We will be back!
We loved staying at this condo. It had everything we needed for a week-long visit, and nothing we didn’t. The size was perfectly adequate for a family of four - the pull-out couch in the family room is the most luxurious we’ve ever seen! Felt like a real bed. Easy to put away each day. The condo was clean, well-appointed, and perfectly located. Loved the pool, hot tub, free parking, and easy access to the slopes. Even little details like the fireplace, great books to read,and nice kitchen supplies enhanced our stay. We did not want to leave! Perfect place for us!
As close to the mountain as you can get! Location is the key here. You walk right out the door and onto the lifts and ski school. Unit is well appointed and cared for. Small but has all you need and is cozy for 4 (2 kids, 2 adults). That’s probably the max I would recommend. Everything was made easy. Location, ski storage, etc. Only negative is that Sundial is a little more outdated than some of the other options nearby and doesn’t have many amenities. Westgate, for example, has a huge indoor/outdoor pool, arcade and spa and is right at the base too. But all in all had everything we needed here.
Condo finishes and furnishings were lovely. The king size bed is comfortable, the bathroom is large with a jetted tub, and the fireplace is a nice touch even in the summer. Nice plunge pool, hot tub and fire pit on third floor. We would definitely recommend this. Sue and Lenny, New Smyrna Beach, Fl
Although it was one bedroom, our family of 4 fitted easily. My husband and I had our own room and our girls (11 & 9) shared the huge new king size sofa bed with no problems. There was even room to leave their bed out all the time and still move around the unit. The kitchen was equipped with everything you could think of, including forks for toasting marshmallows around the fire pit. There was also a washing machine and dryer in the room. Sundial Lodge is centrally located, with ski valet for your skis and boots at the front door. The pool and spa were nicely heated and we used them everyday. There was a free shuttle service to Park City in the evenings, and you are not far from the free town buses for other times. Overall, we had a great family holiday at Park City.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sundial! King bed was very comfortable, teenage son found king sleeper sofa comfortable. We spent most of our time on the slopes, but it was great to come back to a nicely appointed place, turn on the fireplace and relax. Brad was responsive and easy to communicate with. Sundial staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay here again!
We stayed for a month in August to escape the hot summer weather and would do it again for sure. Sundial is very nice property central to The Canyons at Park City. We had great sleeps as the king bed was very comfortable. Amenities were as advertised and parking was easy and convenient. All made for a great vacation. Be aware that during the summer months routine exterior property maintenance and local construction can be evident as they prepare for the winter sking season. The owner we must say is also very accessible and cooperative in helping make your stay pleasant. Nice one bedroom condo that we would recommend.
We took a family vacation to Park City this year and stayed here. There were four of us: my wife and I, my 17 year old son and 15 year old daughter. My wife and I slept in the bedroom; my son on the King fold out bed; and my daughter on a roll away bed. Everyone was comfortable. The entire place was great--we cooked our meals in the kitchen, which was well stocked. We enjoyed the deck; the lovely bathroom; the swimming pools (especially the dip pool and hot too on the third floor); the fire pits. We used the BBQ by the poolside to cook steaks and carne asada. The maintenance guys were quick and efficient if you needed anything (such as for them to start to BBQ because the ignition doesn't work). The location is awesome. Just walk out your door and get lift tickets; we were there in the summer so my son and I did the downhill mountain biking one day while my wife and daughter hiked a great trail and ascended right from Canyons village. On day two I rented a great mountain bike from another shop in the village and went on an epic ride while my kids went zip lining....we didn't have to get in our car at all, except to take the five minute drive to Park City in the evenings to walk around. Great place! Loved it!
We are a family of four with a 9 year old and 4 year old, this unit was perfect for our spring break ski vacation! The convenience was first rate. It is next door to ski school, the red pine gondola and orange bubble express lifts, and restaurants in the Canyons base area of Park City Mountain Resort. The Park City bus system is a short ride down the Cabriolet lift to the bus terminal. The complimentary ski and boot check made walking to the lifts with a family easy. The king size pull out sleeper sofa was very comfortable. Full kitchen made eating in as easy as doing it at home. Our kids loved the swimming pool area. Great location and great unit, would stay here again for sure!
This 1 bedroom condo worked great for our family of 4. The king bed was comfortable. Kids are 9 & 6, and the pullout sofa bed was huge, at least a queen, maybe a king size for them to share. Heated tiles in bathroom floor were nice. Washer/dryer was nice to have and a must for our trip. It was nice to have view and sounds of pool so that kids could play some if we didn't go down there as quick. Check in was easy at front desk. We had a/c issue, notified owner and maintenance guys were there in hour or so. Will definitely keep in mind for our next visit to Canyons/Park City.
As a family of five recently stayed at this property and was hesitant of the size, but was pleasantly surprised of the amount of space we had. We arrived late and had an easy check in and was pleased how neat and clean everything was in the condo. The pullout sofa was huge, so my two boys, 13 and 10 slept on it without a problem. There was a cot for my 10 year old as well. The kitchen is fully stocked and we were able to have a full breakfast in the room every morning. The bathroom was large and the heated floors were a plus. We kept all our ski/snowboard equipment with the ski valet so that made room in the condo. The location was nice because it wasn't over the umbrella bar which gets a little noisy. This condo is so close to the , shops at the canyons, restaurants and of course the gondola. I would stay here again if we visit Park City again.
This was the 3rd year in a row we came to Park City to ski with our 2 kids, 10 & 12. We liked this condo a lot (much nicer & much more spacious than the Westgate condo we rented last year). Brad was very responsive. Once I connected with him I knew we had found the place we would stay. So many Park City owners don't keep their calendars current online (& then use bait & switch tactic) which made it difficult to sift through the options. We did miss the indoor/outdoor pool & ping pong that Westgate offered (& Marriott's Summit Watch indoor/outdoor pool/game area & nice downtown location from our visit 2 yrs ago) but Sundial's outdoor pool & roof hot tub were pretty nice. Great to use the roof hot tub & look at the stars at night. Everything in the condo except for the pull-out sofa mattress was perfect. Everyone wanted to sleep in the bed after a long day skiing rather than the sofa bed. Would definitely recommend this place though. Sundial is very well situated in Canyons Village. You can't get any closer to the slopes, shops & restaurants.
Thank you for your stay and happy to let you know that the sofa bed has been upgraded with an American Leather Comfort Sleeper in King. Such is the best sleep sofa that money can buy, unlike all other sofa beds such has no springs (rather a platform), it never sags and sleeps just like a real bed, combine that with the fact that such is in king size and the unit now is suitable to accommodate family, a single couple OR now can comfortably accommodate two couples. Just sorry that you were not able to enjoy such, our goal is to offer the best experience possible and hence why we had ordered the comfort sleeper, had in fact expected such to be in place prior to your visit but unfortunately delivery was delayed (arrived the week after your stay).
This condo is located in a complex that is steps away from the Red Pine Gondola and the Orange Bubble Chair lift. It is nicely appointed and the bed is comfortable. The condo has everything you may need. The unit itself is quiet and a quick walk to the communal roof top hot tubs and fire pit which are perfect after a long day of skiing. Easy access to the express shuttle to Main Street. Brad was easy to communicate with and our security deposit was returned quickly upon checking out. Will definitely stay here again!
My wife and I visited Park City for the first time and found this great ski-in/ski-out location. From start to finish, the process was smooth and trouble free. After initially booking the place, Brad immediately reached out to us and provided us with a lot of information on area restaurants, grocery stores and even a grocery delivery service if we wanted to stock the fridge prior to our arrival. We we really impressed with the location, the convenience of being a few steps away from the gondola that gives you access to the entire Canyons/Park City mountain is the best part. The ski concierge was a great perk, no more worrying if your boots will dry overnight as they take care of this for you with their boot dryers. Overall the property and its amenities were fantastic - easy parking in a below ground parking garage, hot tub, pool, gym all available. If you want to head to Main street after a day on the slopes then just take the free shuttle that picks you up right outside the door! My recommendation is to wake up and start your day on the Canyons side and ski/snowboard your way all the way over to Main Street on the Park City side for food and drinks followed by the free shuttle back to Sundial. We look forward to staying here again!
Centrally located, this condo could not be better for convenient dining and ALL outdoor activities. Hiking, biking and golf right out the door. The unit itself was wonderful. Clean, great provisions and quiet. Nice view of the mountains from the balcony. Great bathroom with heated floor and very large. Ate in frequently due to the nice kitchen. Brad was great to communicate with and can't wait to return to his condo again next fall.
We spent 3 weeks in Brad's condo. It is well situated on the plaza level at The Canyons so you can walk to the lifts, restaurants and shops. Having a parking space in the underground garage is another plus. Everything was in order when we checked in - enough pots and pans, coffee maker, etc to be able to cook and not have to go out for every meal. We ran out of propane for the grill on the balcony and Brad replaced it the next day. The only negative is the lack of storage space, but we have encountered this problem at other condos in PC as well as the St Regis in Deer Valley. Hey room designers - skiers have a lot of stuff!
I had no knowledge of the resort or area when I rented this condo but I wasn't disappointed. Location is perfect for Canyons (though the apres ski options and casual restaurants are limited - stay in Park City if that's what you want) and with the lifts just 50 feet away, it can't be beat. The unit itself was great. The pull out sofa bed was typical, but my kid had no problem sleeping after a day of skiing. The one issue we had was that the air conditioning fan was LOUD in the bedroom, but that was because the heat was turned up to 72 at night by default. When we turned it down to 69 there was no more fan. I was worried that the place would be loud because it looks onto the pool area but I never heard a thing. The pool and hot tub were good though the main floor hot tub was definitely hotter than the third floor one. But the condo was mostly perfect and I would easily rent it again, and that's after renting it during one of the worst winters for snowfall ever!
Our experience from start to finish with this VRBO rental was excellent. The unit was exactly as advertised and the unit owner was extremely responsive. About one week prior to our arrival we inquired about a pack n' play for our two year old and the owner replied ASAP to assure me a pack n' play would be placed in the unit and waiting for us upon arrival. As promised, it was in fact in the unit when we arrived. The unit owner also went above and beyond by emailing me to let me know the unit was clean and ready for us to check-in a full 2 hours ahead of the scheduled check-in time! There was also a hand written welcome note waiting for us when we entered the unit - nice touch! It was the perfect space for myself, my husband and our 2 year old (we used the king bedroom) as well as our friend (he used the pull out sofa). NOTE: The bathroom (very large as advertised) was located outside of the bedroom allowing it to be accessible via the common area which was key for our friend so he did not disturb us at night when we were sleeping. I would highly recommend this unit if you are looking for something that is clean/fresh and available by a hospitable owner.
First visit to The Canyons and this condo at Sundial has everything the other reviews highlighted -so please read those reviews, too. Will add we utilized the gym and it was well equipped and very clean. The entire Sundial property seemed in very good condition and the staff - from front desk to maintenance were a pleasure to deal with. We utilize VRBO listings several times a year and this is a topnotch unit and would definitely stay here again when we visit the area. Also, would like to comment on how easy it was to use the public transportation system throughout the area. We arrived via shuttle from SLC airport and then rode buses to grocery shop and head to Historic Main Street. We even took the bus with our skis over to the Park City resort one day.
The Sundiall condominiums are well located within the Canyons resort and just a very short walk from the ski lifts. The ski valet was great as it was convenient to leave skis and boots in the afternoon and receive dry and warm boots the next morning. The one bedroom condominium is well-equipped and in great condition. It is nicely decorated and very cozy. Brad, the owner, could not have been more responsive during the entire process from my initial correspondence to leaving. It's obvious that he cares about his guests. All in all... A very positive experience.
We loved your condo at the Sundial. The location was perfect for skiing with kids. Your condo was clean and full of everything we needed for the week. The ski valet is such a nice bonus after a long day of skiing. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tubs on the third floor. We bought stuff to roast smores which the kids loved! We definitely would recommend the condo and the owner, Brad, was a huge help and very professional!
