When you stay at Sundial you are at the very heart and center of the resort plaza. The property adjoins the main Red Pine gondola, houses the resort ski school, ski rentals, ski shop and wraps around the forum which is the hub of apres ski. No "near" or "close" to the lifts as many others others promise, Sundial Lodge IS the very heart and center with NO OTHER PROPERTY MORE CONVENIENT to both skiing/boarding and resort plaza amenities including apres ski activities for adults and children alike, restaurants, shops, free concerts and more. On the main level you will find two bedrooms, one with king, fireplace, door to balcony, the second with queen bed. Both have extra high ceilings, extra high windows, and 42' flatscreens.
On the main level you will find two full baths (3rd bath upstairs) featuring natural stone, heated floors, deep soaking tubs, and rainshower shower heads. The master bath also features a jacuzzi tub. LG steam washer/dryer.
Upstairs you will find an open bedroom/loft looking down on the living area, with two twin beds (can be made up as king upon request, small fee applies). There is a flatscreen and DVD player. The third (upstairs) full bath features heated floors and deep soaking tub.
Balcony is larger than with most Sundial units, running the full length of the unit and unlike most Sundial units that have only chairs on the balcony, such is outfitted with chairs and table to enjoy drinking and dinning al-fresco, plus a Weber gas grill for your cooking pleasure.

The condo was perfect for our needs and had all of the amenities for a great vacation. We visited in the summer and stayed so busy with all there is to do in the area! We enjoyed soaking in the he hot tubs and pool in the evenings as well as roasting marshmallows over the fire pits. Perfect location for a family vacation with plenty of room for everyone. The beds we're so comfortable and the bedding and provided blankets and robes a wonderful touch. Kids loved the loft bedroom and the rain showers were great too! Truly a superior experience in every way! Book it with Luxury Mountain Destinations you won't be disappointed!
Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids ages 10-15) stayed here during the summer and had a great week. My girls loved the loft bedroom and everyone enjoyed having 3 bathrooms available. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are high quality. We used kitchen twice a day and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the pool everyday - had it to ourselves several times. We were close to all the activities, groceries, and dining. Brad was great to work with and we appreciated his recommendations. We highly recommend this property!
Our family of 5 stayed at Sundial at the end of March 2018. Sundial is in a great location. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and there is a free shuttle that takes you into town to enjoy the Park City nightlife. Our unit was nicely decorated, clean and very well stocked with toiletries, spices, towels, etc... We had a few minor hiccups and the owners were very responsive. The hot tubs were great after a long day of skiing. We will definitely stay here again.
The condo was beautiful and fairly spacious for our family of 5. We enjoyed the large balcony with BBQ grill. Smaller kitchen but had the essentials. Beds were very comfortable, with comfy douvets. Large tvs in every room made everyone happy. Enjoyed the fireplaces in the living room and master. Heated tile floors were a nice plus. The Sundial property itself is a bit rundown, but the owners condo is very nice and well maintained. Beautiful views from the balcony. Kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub and making smores at the fire pit. It's a short, beautiful drive to Park City.
Thank you for your stay. Meanwhile note that the board recently approved full renovation of the common areas (hallways, lobby, etc.) that will bring the property as a whole up to the same level as our unit. This has already started and will be completed prior to the winter season -- please come back again to see the brand new Sundial Lodge!
We took our 4 kids skiing and the location and accommodations were perfect. The ski check in the lobby was great for checking gear in and out and not having to take it all to the condo. The ski school and lift ticket window are right out the door. It was an easy walk for the kids in their ski boots to get to the gondola. Recommendation from the owner to use Aloha rentals was helpful and saved some money. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking and grill was in good shape. The heated floors in the bathrooms were great. Umbrella bar was fun for the adults and kids after a day of skiing. Farm was a nice adult dinner. Kids loved the outdoor heated pool and hot tub.
We rented the Sundial property for Spring Break 2017, and had a fantastic time! We have stayed in the Park City area several times but this was our first time staying at the Canyons village, and the location could not have been better. Skis and boots are kept in a room near the lobby, and we could boot up and take a short walk to the Red Pine Gondola for access to all of the amazing skiing we wanted. The condo is very nicely appointed and extremely clean. We had plenty of room for two adults and three teenagers. The loft with two twin beds was perfect for the older kids, and gave them some private space away from the main floor. The main pool and hot tub were amazing, and there is also another more private hot tub on the third level between buildings. We skied the both areas of Park City Mountain resort, but also went to Alta and Deer Valley. The underground parking was extremely convenient for coming and going as we pleased. All in all, another great Park City ski vacation. Brad and Tone are extremely gracious hosts, and take great care in offering only the best in accommodations. We hope to be able to return sometime soon! P.S. Can't forget to mention....each room in the condo has a wonderful large-screen high definition television. And the lodge offers amazingly fast wifi at no additional charge.
Chose this property primarily for proximity to ski school for kids, and certainly met those expectations / needs. Walking right downstairs for access to the lifts, rentals, etc. always makes things much easier. The Canyons village is a little slower than downtown park city in terms of restaurant selections, etc but that is a given to anyone who has spent much time in the area. Just requires a car / uber to get into town with convenience, but not a big deal. The unit itself is nice, but individual rooms are a little small. For a vacation though, not a big deal at all.
Couldn't ask for a better location in park city. Condo was clean, well maintained and had all the amenities of home. Would highly reccomend for summer and winter. Beds were very comfortable, heated tile floors, balcony and close to everything.
Great condo with vaulted ceilings and two nice bedrooms downstairs with big loft upstairs for extra guests or kids. Well appointed across the board and very comfortable beds. Nice views right off your own private patio with grill. Pool is perfect size, hot tub right next to it with wonderful firepit. Nice additional secluded hot tubs on roof top as an added bonus. Staff is friendly and helpful. Private garage parking and restaurants and shops all right there. Just minutes from the Olympic center and grocery, as well as Park City mountain and Deer Valley. Only a 30 minute drive to Salt Lake city as well. Was perfect for us and our 3 kids for a long weekend getaway. We'll be back!
The condo met all of our expectations. The location is fantastic and within minutes of leaving we were on the gondola. Very nice having ski valet downstairs and having dry warm boots in the morning. Brad was very responsive with our questions from renting the property and throughout our stay. Thanks for letting us enjoy your place for a week!!
We rented this property for a week in January 2016 and it was exactly as described. Very clean and looks almost brand new. Three bedrooms with three bathrooms, perfect for a big family or for three couples like we were. View from apartment is beautiful. Very conveniently located. Ski in-ski out. Restaurants and a small grocery store just steps away from the building. If you want to visit Park City, outlets, shopping etc there's a gondola that will take you to a bus stop where you can catch a bus that will take you to all those areas, free of charge. Communication with owner was very good and professional. Replies were very prompt. We would definitely go back and we recommend this property 100%.
My family and I stayed in this beautiful and cozy unit at The Canyons. It is in a prime location and easy to get to downtown Park City and other shopping areas. The ski in and ski out is a huge plus. We had an amazing time and can't wait to return! Brad was extremely easy to work with. He was quite accommodating and professional as well.
Throughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Great location; beautiful accommodations; comfortable furniture and beds; well supplied kitchen; heated floors in the bathrooms were amazing; were able to ski right there from the property. We put together all the puzzles and played the games that were available. Would definately recommend. Brad went the extra mile to bring some supplies for the condo when needed.
Our stay at the Sundial Lodge this late summer/fall was outstanding. The location is so central to the Canyons and Park City as a whole. The actual condo we rented was very nicely appointed, and had all the amenities that we expected. The underground parking was very convenient and having a bike storage locker worked out great. Even though we prefer to ride at Deer Valley the riding at the Canyons it great also (albeit a bit more advanced). We would certainly recommend this property to anyone, whether it be summer or winter. Thanks Brad! We plan on returning next summer
You can't get any closer to the slopes at the Canyons than the Sundial. The condo was great - had every amenity you could need - and Brad was so easy to work with! Our two families of 4 had a fabulous week in Park City (despite the uncharacteristic lack of snow) and the Sundial was the perfect home base. We were a little cramped, but kids didn't mind the pullout sofas so everyone had a bed, and it was a super affordable option in a town that is pretty pricey. The ski valet and the pool/hot tubs were such a bonus and made the week easy and luxurious. Can't wait to come back!
We had the pleasure of staying at the Sundial at it was awesome! The condo itself was well appointed and super close to the orange bubble chair lift and the main gondola going up to the slopes. Free shuttle service to town, terry cloth bath robes to wear to the hot tub and pool and ski and boot valet downstairs! Fantastic! This owner knows how to please his guests and i will for sure use him again for our annual brothers ski trip!!
My family and I could not be happier with this property or the Canyons Resort! Brad was awesome to deal with, he answered every question we had right away. He even helped us find out where my kids could go see Santa! There is not a better location in Park City than the Sundial Lodge. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The unit is exactly as described. Everything is very clean and comfortable! The unit has upgraded appliances and everything you need to cook for a week. I could go on and on about how great this condo is! My family and I look forward to coming back year after year!
We stayed here for 4 days and the owner was amazing to work with. Quick to respond with any questions we had. Condo is clean and the beds were very comfortable. We had six adults and there was plenty of room. Loved that there is 3 full baths all with heated floors :) We will be staying here again!!
Our family had a wonderful stay in Park City, Utah and it would not of been possible without the assistance and attention to detail of Brad who is the owner of the wonderful Condo we rented. Brad's property is as described and so much more. We walked / hiked the entire property and would not of traded the location of his Condo for any other property in the area. Pride of ownership was obvious as Brad's property was immaculate, upgraded and as comfortable as a primary residence. Our family and extended family had plenty of room to spare as the layout is built for comfort and entertaining. We had a fabulous time. The condo was very comfortable and well appointed. It had everything you need to cook. We enjoyed all the local adventure activities and used the 3rd floor hot tub to recover. Kids enjoyed their nightly s'mores cookout in the fire pit next to the jacuzzi. Great time had by all. Will definately recommend to friends and family. Looking forward to the convenience of location come winter time.
We have stayed at several places in Park City. This was one of the tops =) And Brad was great to work with! I have used VRBO several times & do have to say I was a little shocked at the amount of the deposit. But it is all fine as it was all refunded. I hope to stay here again! Loved the loft for my grandkids!
The Sundial was a wonderful condo for our family! The unit had plenty of room for us with a bed to spare. It could easily accomodate 6 and up to 8. Very Clean with updated ammenities. Plenty of dining options within walking distance and we also grilled steaks at the available poolside grill(s) for dinner. We felt like we were central to everything; entertainment, dining, and ski-lifts were a short walk from the lobby. Great views from the deck(s) with nice morning sun. Most impressive was the customer service. The staff members tried to remember our names when they saw us, and provided excellent tips and suggestions from best ski locations of the day to discount lift passes, to rushing to light the fire pits for our enjoyment! I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed better service! Brad, we have all voted, and will be back to your sundial next year for more spring skiing!!
I wanted to let you know that your condo was perfect and we had such a great time. Nothing like skiing until mid-day and then laying by the pool in the afternoon. And your location couldn’t have been any better! The condo was exactly how it's described. We found it very clean and more than enough room for everyone to enjoy. We checked in the week of Christmas and enjoyed the condo at Sundial. The unit itself was exactly as advertised - plenty of room for the 4 adults and 2 children (10 and 8 years). Any requests we had were handled immediately by Brad. I've noticed that there are quite a few other reviews about Canyons resort. We were continually amazed at the lack of preparation for the holiday week were stayed. For example, the first night we went down to Drafts (restaurant nearby) for dinner, and were told they were out of multiple items on the menu. The same held true for the Escala restaurant and RedTail restaurant. It seemed like the Christmas holiday rush snuck up on these folks. Similarily, outside in the Canyons area, there wasn't one Christmas decoration or event going on. No lights, wreaths, Christmas music, anything. If you were to go to Beaver Creek or Vail the week of Christmas, they've have holiday decor and events happening. I bring this up not as a reflection of the unit, but hopefully the management of Canyons resort reads these things and realizes they're really missing opportunities to make their resort a special place. Last example, the Canyons have the ski beach area, which our kids loved to play. But the chairs on the beach were covered in snow and the nice stage area was never utilized (sure it is during the summer) - how hard would it be to have some holiday entertainment on the stage in the afternoon. Brush the snow off the chairs, and make it a memorable experience. There is absolutely no apres ski environment, except for 3-4 firepits that are constantly busy, and the Umbrella bar that closes at 5 pm (really?) If you stay in Canyons, I'd recommend getting a rental car or using taxis. The bus system (at least during the holidays) was very busy and not very convenient in getting to/from Park City/Deer Valley. We would up getting taxis which worked ok and was probably less expensive than renting a car.

As for Canyons Resort and additional Christmas activities I am forwarding your comments to the Canyons Resort Village Association, they do put on a quite a few special events ranging from New Years activities including fireworks just completed, to a free concert series in summer, activities are listed at www.canyonsresort.com/events.html, but always opportunity to further enhance. FYI -- note that my observations would concur that certain resort preparations that would normally have been completed earlier were delayed this season, presumably given the one-time transition to Vail Resorts (ironically the party who operates the resorts mentioned in comparison).
This wonderful penthouse is on the top floor of Sundial. It is quiet and can easily sleep 6, 10 with hide-a-beds. Recent updates are apparent, but the entire building is quite new (2002 Olympics). A sports pub is within a stone's throw, even off season. I will definitely stay here again.
This is our 3rd trip to The Canyons and we love it. We've rented at the Miner's Club (with this owner) and Juniper Landing. Sundial is a great property and you just can't beat the location. With a small child, being right at the base makes everything so much easier. It was a good sized unit and convenient to all the mountain had to offer. The owner is very focused on making sure his guest have a great stay and this trip was no exception. I will rent from him again next year.
Our family of 5 stayed in this unit at Sundial for 6 nights over our family's winter break. Our first trip out west to ski (we're from New England) - and although Utah hasn't had the best winter ever - we found there was plenty of snow and great conditions. We thought we'd try a couple of mountains in the area but were so happen with the convenience and broad terrain at Canyons - we never left! I agree with everything said in the reviews before this. We were looking for a great location and got that plus a great condo. Very comfortable sleeping and having three bathrooms was a treat. My 16 year old was very impressed with the 4 TV's! Once we were in our unit - never heard a sound from any other condo or from the hall way - very good for sleeping. Kitchen had enough to get you going for first day as far as coffee, dishwashing det. & dish liquip - but don't forget to get more if you plan to stay for a while. We ate all breakfasts and some lunch and dinners in the unit. Most nights we took the free shuttle run by Canyons to the town of Park City. Runs back and forth hourly from 4pm-10pm, but be sure to make reservation that morning. We used the hot tub and pool everyday after skiing. Rental shop was in the next building and we could walk over to the lifts. Brad was extremely helpful (and patient) with ALL of my questions before our trip. Helped with recommendations for car service from airport, grocery delivery and restaurants. All were excellent. Brad even helped us take advantage of discounted advanced purchased lift tickets - a great savings. We highly recommend and hope return someday.

We chose the Canyons in Park City for our annual girls ski weekend. There were many condos available on VRBO. We chose this condo for the close proximity to the lift, restaurants and amenities. We could not have chosen a better place! The owner was responsive to our questions and very professional. The location was perfect! Close to rentals, ski shops, and a short walk to the gondola. The interior was recently updated with new granite and new bathrooms with heated floors. (We loved the heated floors!) It was the perfect size for six to sleep comfortably. The condo kitchen was well stocked, the bed linens were of fine quality, and the unit was very clean. The patio / balcony was big and had a nice view of the valley. It did not face the courtyard / slopes, so the noise was minimal at night. Check in / out was easy and we were made to feel important. It was great to have under ground parking! Our only issue was the toilet was being repaired upon check in, but it was rapidly fixed. The resort and condo staff was very helpful and timely. Despite one of us having a knee injury on the slopes, it was the perfect ski vacation for our girls ski weekend! We will definately come back.

We recently spent 6 nights at the Sundial in the Canyons. In addition to the Sundial being the ideal location for getting to the Gondola and ski school, the condo we stayed in was excellent. It has two bedrooms on the first floor and a second floor loft bedroom with its own full bathroom. Brad was very easy to work with and was very responsive to requests. We used the Sundial pool and hot tubs almost every day. The ski check off the lobby was great and the bellman were good sources of information and very helpful. We used the shuttle service, so we did not use the free parking. If we make it back to Canyons we will definitely try and stay there again.

Thanks Brad for the sharing your wonderful condo with us. The location was great and very roomy for our family of 5. The unit was much nicer than others we have stayed in at Sundial. I was a little concerned renting because when I booked there were no reviews posted, but everything was exactly as promised!!

And thank you for your comments with regard to the unit, Sundial Lodge has an amazing location, fantastic amenities, and my goal is to have the best unit at Sundial -- bathroom, kitchen and other upgrades were quickly completed between November purchase and the start of ski season -- while some furniture updates are on order -- and additional enhancements planned for the spring.
This property is as good a location as you can find. All activities are within short walking distance and nothing is closer to the base of the slopes. I travel with my two teenage sons a few times each winter and have to say this property exceeded my expectations. The general quality of the unit is like new. We were more than comfotable with three bedrooms and three full baths. The full kitchen was well equiped so grab some groceries on the way through town. There is a spaciousness that feels comfortable, relaxed as well as refined. Loved the heated bathroom floors. Look forward to enjoying a return visit. Thanks Brad for a great experience.
